If the dream about the candlesticks took me back to the late seventies, last night's- in which I was apprenticed to a powerful witch who hung out in a junkshop- was a return to the eighties. It was a happy, hopeful dream. By coincidence, Ailz had me up a ladder this morning sorting through things on a high shelf- and I happened on a folder full of papers from our Wiccan heyday- including a set of clippings with headlines like "Pagan Ex-Priest Tony Hit By Witch -hunt"

O les beaux jours.

A`slight exaggeration, but that's journalism for you.

I'd been invited to speak in Rochester cathedral and the evangelicals got terribly excited and made life difficult for the canon who had invited me- which resulted in the invitation being withdrawn.
