Can it be seen from the train? I remember seeing something very like that once, travelling from Bristol to Anglesey (and we did go through Shropshire), and saying 'Wow!' but not being able to find out what it was...

I wasn't aware of passing trains, but according to the English Heritage guidebook there's a station at Craven Arms just a mile away.

it does run very close by
