A Query

How is it you can sort through all the available pieces of a jig-saw puzzle three or four times and be despairing of finding the one that fills a certain gap- a very distinctive piece- and then, in a moment of distraction, you put out your hand and there it is?

I suspect poltergeist activity.

Sometimes gleefully shouting "gremlins, bring that back!", leaving the room & coming back in again works :-)
