One Thing And Another

I dreamed I was visiting a house where a young woman arrived at the door, told the householder she loved her, then cut her own throat. This is what comes of watching The Shadow Line last thing at night.

I find it helps to appreciate The Shadow Line if you stop comparing it to social realist epics like The Wire and think of it as an updated Jacobean revenge tragedy.

I spent a lot of time yesterday on this site, which collects together evidence for the afterlife and reincarnation. It has links to some excellent videos.

Interesting site and thanks. To my mind, I find reincarnation far more compelling than the idea that we just die and that's that. For the record, I think I should rather just die and half-wish that the materialists were correct. It would certainly simplify a lot of things, and not just the issue of my inevitable demise.

I feel somewhat the same way about ghosts. My own experiences settle the issue for me and I consequently find claims for their non-existence to be sadly lacking in credibility.

There are some vids about the fallacies of scientific materialism - or scientism- on the site. I haven't watched them yet, but I mean too. Probably this afternoon.

If there is reincarnation, I have no intention of coming back. "They'll" just have to find another way to deal with me.

I'm sure there'll be other options...:)

I don't think it's being broadcast in this country, but I will try to look out for it when it is.

I'm glad I decided to give The Shadow Line a miss. I don't mind dark drama up to a point, but after that, I find it upsetting and from the bits I've read in the Radio Times, this crosses that threshold.

We have, however, been enjoying Rubicon, which is a complex conspiracy theory serial.

The Shadow Line is quite unsettling. You're continually expecting horrible things to happen- and then they do....
