Dining Al Fresco

I planted a miniature rose bush a few days back; it had been given us in a pot and had bloomed all it was going to; Bunny has now nibbled it down to the ground. Next to it is a small Japanese maple which was doing really well until Bunny decided to have it for breakfast.

Can you say "hassenpfeffer"?

The only time I've knowingly eaten rabbit was in a cafe at the foot of Mont Blanc. It wasn't at all bad.

Hm. You might try a liquid soap-based cayenne pepper spray to keep Bunny from going back for seconds.

I think the damage has been done now. That rose isn't coming back.

Well, it might protect future roses and maples...

Aw! That is kind of sad for you, but happy for Bunny/

I like it that he's living as if in the wild.

But the bunnies probably think that these delectable snacks have been put there for their convenience...

This is why roses have thorns.

That really is the one drawback of having rabbits running free in the garden.
