We've been sitting out in the sun most afternoons this week- and talking to Samina and family across the wall. We had the kids round to admire our garden rabbit and she gave us some curry and trifle she had left over from a family party . 

Ailz's parents were round yesterday afternoon- their first visit since we had the builders in. Her father managed the steps, though they worried him. They're talking about moving into sheltered accommodation.

That's always such a hard decision to make...the loss of independence is the end for many people.

If they'd been considering this a year or two back, when they were still comparatively active I'd have been all in favour; now I'm not so sure.
