Still Twitching

We have these newish bird feeder thingies, which consist of inverted bells on stalks. They're made of metal. One is bright red, the other is the colour of egg yolk. You plant the stalk in the flowerbed and- lo and behold- a steam-punk tulip.

We had them in the front yard at first- and whether they did any business there I really don't know because I wasn't watching. About a week ago I moved them to the back- where I can see them from the living room window. The bird table gets a lot of visitors, but I never saw anyone at the tulips until today- when I caught a great tit perching on the lip of one of them.

Here is a complete list of the species who visit our back yard:

Robin
Blackbird
Sparrow
Collared dove
Wood pigeon
Starling
Great tit

I'll have to look up some of your birds. I know that they are not the same as here.
Your tulip feeders sound like fun!

Your robin is a very different bird- though both are members of the thrush family.

You see? I knew they'd start flocking to the feeder once the news got around the avian community.

It's very gratifying.
