Ailz was telling her mother about our rabbit dying- and her mother told her not to get another one.

You know, the thought hadn't even crossed my mind until then...

Our two new rabbits are called Sharon and Shalimar- or Shally and Shaz for short.

Both the cat that lives with me and the cat that lives on my property think that their name is "Kitty". (One is named Nanook, and the other is named Petey.)

BUT--they do both come when they are called. Except this morning, I was 0 for 2. (I think the inside one didn't want to go out to pee, and the outside one was curled up in and didn't want to move.) But that's rare.

He really is contrary - especially with my mother.

I wouldn't be happy going away for days leaving Tosh on his own - even with Carl calling in most days to check on him. Rabbits live in groups and are sociable little souls, who need company. Unlike a dog or a cat you can't leave a radio on for them as noise doesn't seem to interest them. Tosh answers to his name - when he feels like it.
