A Quiet Christmas

It was just Ailz and me and various loved ones every now and then at the end of phone lines. I cooked the Christmas dinner on too high a heat and nearly ruined it but not quite.

The Dr Who Christmas special was a delight.

I woke up this morning to the news that England are 157-0 on the first day of the 4th Test, having bowled Australia out for 98.

Ha ha! Sign on to Skype occasionally, or let me know your phone number (I'm sure it hasn't changed but I'm not sure I have it anymore) and I can be one of those loved ones on the end of the line. I actually sent you an email about this a few days ago.

There was a piece (I think it was by Michael Bywater) in The Independent that said turkeys have two states: poisonous, and over-cooked.

I like that. I think turkey is over-valued.

My friend has cable, and we stumble upon the Dr. Who marathon on BBC America. I got to see "Dr. Who at the Proms", and I got to see the Xmas special, too. I thoroughly enjoyed both.

Happy Christmas!

Happy Christmas.

It's taken me a while to get used to Matt Smith's Doctor, but I think he's splendid in the Christmas special.
