How We're Coping

 Ailz says we've missed a trick by not holding a Halloween party in our dank, shuttered kitchen.

The contents of the kitchen are scattered all over the house. Preparing even a simple meal- like the egg fried rice we had for lunch- involves going upstairs and downstairs like goosey goosey gander. 

We've no washing machine, of course. I washed a batch of clothes by hand this morning- in a plastic box we had lying around- and they're now hanging on the maiden in the bathroom going drip, drip, drip. Not packing the maidens was a oversight I'm grateful for.

I don't think the bunnies have noticed. No-one has done any work in their room yet.

I'm keeping meals simple.

There's no hot water in the kitchen, so I'm having to do the washing up in the bathroom.

Sweet (not) memories of last Decenber when I was doing the same thing - but oh! the joy when your new kitchen will be done!

I recall making a tour of friends for dinner after dinner while my kitchen was unavailable. Plus the microwave came in very useful. Even when they're professional, it's disconcerting having people working around you in the house. Hope it's all worth while in the end.

We've put the microwave in a bedroom upstairs, just in case the kitchen becomes totally unusable.
