How We're Coping
Oct. 30th, 2010 02:40 pm Ailz says we've missed a trick by not holding a Halloween party in our dank, shuttered kitchen.
The contents of the kitchen are scattered all over the house. Preparing even a simple meal- like the egg fried rice we had for lunch- involves going upstairs and downstairs like goosey goosey gander.
We've no washing machine, of course. I washed a batch of clothes by hand this morning- in a plastic box we had lying around- and they're now hanging on the maiden in the bathroom going drip, drip, drip. Not packing the maidens was a oversight I'm grateful for.
