Dusty

Ailz drew attention- gently- to the dustiness of things in general, so I tucked a duster into my back pocket to show willing and now, when I think about it, I can pull it out and give whatever's in front of me a going over. I have these periods when I'm conscious of the need to keep house- and others when I forget about it altogether.

I admire you! I'm the world's worst duster.
Have you tried those damp things that are intended for electrical devices? I don't suppose that they are very good for valuable furniture, but I use them for all sorts of things otherwise

We probably have a pack somewhere.

Actually I got into trouble the other day because I'd left a pack lying around open for so long that all the tissues had dried out.

I favour yellow dusters of the kind my mother used to use. I'm a creature of habit.

My problem with those is that they need washing - also they seem to me to move dust about rather than collect it

Yes. I know that feeling very well. I cleaned the kitchen bin yesterday -and that'll probably be it for another month or two...
