Brrrrrrr

Ailz has a cold and I think I may be getting one too. We are both knocking back the echinacea pills. Odi asked us if we'd have the kids yesterday afternoon and- though we said "yes"-  I was glad when she changed her mind, because all I wanted to do was recline, do crosswords and sleep. I just put the heavy winter quilt back on the bed. It has been raining all day.

Yeah, we just put the heating on for the first time last night. It was getting too cold in the evenings.

We haven't put the heating on yet. I see that as a desperate remedy....

I'm sorry you're feeling ill, both of you. As for winter...I wish the climates were more balanced. It is 31ÂșC here right now and more heat to come next week. if we could only trade bits of warmth and cold back and forth.
Feel better!

Thanks.

Of course it's quite possible- the British climate being what it is- that we'll have more warm weather before winter sets in.

An Indian summer would be nice.

Sorry to hear that you two are ailing. Stay warm if at all possible and drink plenty of liquids, especially hot soup and tea. Have you had flu shots yet?

Thanks.

We drink lots of tea and coffee. I drink tea and Ailz drinks coffee. We haven't had any flu shots yet.

Oh, dear. And bugger.

Do get better.

Garlic helps.

I eat quite a lot of that anyway.

Personally I swear by echinacea. I believe you can stop a cold in its tracks if you start taking echinacea as soon as the first symptoms appear.
