Calendars

Judy says she's just found the calendar we sent her for Christmas. She was tidying the house to receive guests- and there it was. It features beautiful pictures of Manchester.

And, no, that's not intended as an oxymoron.

We bought everyone calendars last year. We spent nearly £100. And then it was snowy and nobody left their houses and a percentage of the calendars never got handed over until round about May- by which time their usefulness had depreciated by nearly half. One of them never got handed over at all- and is now hanging in the kitchen- where I do actually consult it sometimes. It features photographs of Yorkshire churches.  Run of the mill photographs of run of the mill Yorkshire churches. I could take better myself.

Yes, you could. I would buy one of your calendars!

I buy calendars but only if I feel they have exceptional photography. Otherwise, I feel as you do. I could take better photos myself.
And you certainly can as well.

When we were in Barcelona a few years back we laid in a stock of Picasso and Dali calendars. I believe I still have them squirreled away somewhere.
