Actually...

Actually, we're all time travellers- but we can only go in the one direction.

Brilliant.

Thank you.

I think it might have been Brian Cox the other day on the radio who said that time cannot exist. Because, if time passes, what is it passing? It can only be seen to move relative to something else which is static... this hurt my head so much that I can't remember the rest of the interview.

Tricky stuff.

A time machine is at the very top of the list of impossible things I want for Christmas.

Where would you go? Or rather, when?

[identity profile] poliphilo.livejournal.com 2010-05-28 11:12 am (UTC)(link)
The 15th century- at the beginning of the Renaissance. The exact date would depend on which country I was landing in.

Ooh, I want one too! When you need a break from the Renaissance, will you pop in for a drink with me in Paris in the 20s?

Certainly. And then maybe we could slip back a couple of decades- because I'd really like to meet Toulouse Lautrec.

Where do I order one -- a letter to Santa, perhaps?

There's an idea.:)

You were feeling philosophical.

So true!

I was sitting in a garden court, by a fountain....
