They're letting her go, but probably not until this afternoon- after the doctor has seen her and they've dispensed her drugs.  Also, they don't like to send anyone out into the world without feeding them first.

It turns out she has a kidney infection. I wonder how that came about. It's not a diagnosis that had even crossed my mind.

Yesterday was beautiful- weatherwise, I mean. I walked to the hospital in the afternoon.  It took me about 40 minutes door to door, but if I'd  put on my racing shoes I could probably have done it in 30. There were spring flowers- mainly daffodils- on the verges all the way down- and I kept walking through these banks of scent.

Uncomfortable but very treatable so it's good news. Infections just come out of nowhere sometimes. I'm glad Ailz will be home later today.
:)
The spring flowers are glorious this year. We were in Bury St. Edmunds last week and the Abbey gardens were spectacular.

Glad to hear she is coming home and hopefully the infection will clear up good and quick.

It was sunny first thing, but now it's clouded over. I'm sort of sitting around waiting to be told I can go collect her. :)

It's odd- the daffodils our garden bloomed and died weeks ago, but the public ones are still in fine form.

Good news! antibiotics, liquid and rest! Very glad it has proved to be straightforward, welcome home Ailz!

So glad to hear it's something relatively simple and straight-forward like a kidney infection.

I'm glad to know it's not something serious, and that she's home! The entire season has been wonky here - much colder than normal, and so it's the end of May and the leaves are only now really opening up. There are flowers, but they are late as well.

I am glad she is coming home! My mother just finished her antibiotics for a kidney infect too, and she neither had any idea where that could come from - no previous bladder infect, no cold, nothing. Weird stuff!

A kidney infection sounds horrible, but it's good that you've got a firm diagnosis and it's something that's easy to treat. I hope Ailz feels better soon.

Yes, weird. Still, there's a treatment for it- and that's what counts.

I'm glad to hear she's feeling well enough to come home and that they have the decency to feed you first! Here, that almost never happens.

I'm glad to hear that Aliz is home.

Also, there are worse things to endure on a walk to the hospital than fragrant beds of flowers.

So pleased Ailz is coming home. Do hope she makes a swift recovery. It's good that it is something straightforward. You'll both be so happy to be home under the same roof I'm sure.

It turns out she has a kidney infection.

Not very fun, but readily treatable, so let's hear it for that.

Also, they don't like to send anyone out into the world without feeding them first.

I am glad of it.

Glad to hear it's something minor (though I know from experience how painful these can be!) Best wishes for a speedy full recovery, and more beautiful days.

I was away from LJ for a few days and came back to see this post -- so although I knew I could immediately be glad about something, I went back and read what had happened. Good! I'm glad she's ultimately OK and has the right treatment and is home. You both could probably use a change of scenery from the hospital by now!

Best to both of you.

Thanks.

She's on antibiotics- and I'm told she should be drinking cranberry juice. I guess I'll buy some next time I'm at the shop.
