Crocuses

These are in a garden across the road from my in-law's house.

Lovely! I haven't found any here yet. No daffodils yet either.

It always cheers me up to see the first spring flowers

The ones outside the Imperial War museum aren't even open yet.

And I'd have thought London would be a week or two ahead of us...

Indeed!

*Jealous American here in the rather upper midwest*

Oh I know, and the nice thing this year is that we will see some of the spring in Spain too. We leave on the plane next Thursday and arrive Friday. Their orange trees are about to open their buds! :^)

Then when we come home after two weeks it should just be barely starting here.

I love spring!

I envy you those orange trees!

Have you met Donna and Manolo? They are so nice!

[identity profile] poliphilo.livejournal.com 2010-03-08 09:02 am (UTC)(link)
I've only met them online :)

That is delightful and hopeful! I love crocus.

They're cheerful little flowers- so fragile- and yet so hardy.

Oh, Tony! Thank you! Those are the first of the spring for me. We dont have them here yet, probably not for a couple more weeks. They are lovely!

I'm not seeing them at large, so this must be a particularly well-protected and sunny nook.
