I notice my dentist no longer talks about "fillings" but "reconstructions".

It makes me feel like a National Trust property.

And here in the US people no longer get false teeth. Now it's "implants", a process by which one's own teeth supposedly become immortal (as well as increasing the personal fortunes of dentists). It is not unusual today for a person to receive an estimate after examination of as much as $15,000! Scary! Medicare - and most private insurance plans - do not cover dental bills. Even so called "dental insurance" plans cover as little as 10% of the total cost.

Yes, they also use that term here in Spain, at least my trained in America dentist does.
