The Generations

The love between parent and child is thickened by resentment, rivalry and fear. This is because the parent is still a child herself- unformed, unlicked, unprepared- still horribly needy.

The relationship between grandparent and grandchild is something quite other- as I remember- as I am beginning to find out...

I'm glad that your finding that *other*.
Good isn't it :-)

Resentment, rivalry, fear, oh my! (to rhyme with lions and tigers and bears, oh my!)

Unlicked?

On that note- are you done with Dawn book the first yet?

Unlicked? Like a bear cub- which, according to medieval superstition was supposed to be born as a blob, then literally licked into shape by its mothers.

I'm nearly there. Just a few more pages.
