He's a very friendly cat- but that trellis is his castle; if you approach him when he's up there he'll fight you off.

You have a fine-looking family. About that cat and his possessiveness of the high place. Cats are so like that! Mine owns a certain spot in my small studio apartment and if I encroach he will nip me gently, but firmly, as if to say "Geddadda here!"
