Onion Sauce

I believe I invented a recipe yesterday. It 's a recipe for onion sauce. Before I got round to inventing it I looked at other people's recipes online- and they were all either too fussy or I didn't have the ingredients- and one of them caused the computer to freeze. So, having acquired an overview of the subject, I marched off to the kitchen and did this:

Chopped up two onions
Cooked them in a sufficient amount of butter until soft and translucent
Added plenty of salt and black pepper
Stirred in about four tablespoons of plain yoghurt
Mashed it all up in a blender.

And then ate it with roast lamb.

I guess you can still claim to have invented it, just not the first person in humanity to do so

OK. Lets just say I arrived at the solution independently.

Much like Charles Darwin and Alfred Wallace did with the Theory of Evolution.

It is. I've got to say I surprised myself.

It's so very Arab, to sauce lamb with yogurt -- one of my favorite ways of eating it. I'll have to try your yogurt and onion sauce next time.

You need something a bit tangy to set off the fattiness of the lamb.
