What Grandparents Are For

Odi was panicking because Fabrizio had nappy rash and the doctor wouldn't see him at short notice. I stayed cool,  took time out from making my apple cake (how grandparenty is that!),  looked at the  rash, pronounced it almost cured, then ran off a sheet  of advice from the NHS which proved that Odi's own instincts had been entirely correct and she'd done everything that could be done to treat the condition.

This must be what grandparents are for.

:)
That is indeed at least part of what grandparents are for and you're good ones!

Thank you.

It's fascinating to be moving into the third (or is it the fourth?) age.

I'm learning that experience does count for something. :)

I had a horrible feeling you were going to say you'd applied the apple cake to Fabrizio's rash..! Of course, that could be a good cure for it, who knows.

Yes, I expect you're a very good grandpa.
:)

Thank you, by the way, for your very sweet and kind comment in my journal. I appreciate it.

The Apple cake would might have been very soothing- it certainly is when taken orally. :)

P.S.

I do hope you'll feel able to post more art soon.
