Things That Are Happening

We're having a very wet summer.

Carl is going to a car boot sale next weekend and says he'll sell stuff for us. I spent much of yesterday wandering round the house looking for dispensible things. Thus far Ailz and I have filled ten bags and a box.

England are giving Australia a hard time in the second test. This is unexpected. I keep track of things on the Guardian website- which updates every minute.

It's very easy to fill outgoing boxes... Despite having thought we'd got rid enough before we moved 2 yrs ago, and then filling more once we'd got stuff out of storage, and then more - and more - it seems never ending. Where does it all come from?

It's extraordinary how stuff piles up. I'd love to live an uncluttered life, but I don't seem able to.

I am ever so slowly winning against the clutter, but at times it feels like the stalemate of the WWI trenches: I gain a few feet only to lose it again as the enemy makes another push.

Re the wet weather, I really want to take George the toy monkey to the seaside. I had hoped for blue skies, but right now I'll settle for a prolongued dry period!

I keep wanting to pin washing out on the line, but it's been impossible.

I have you beat...I sent two pick up trucks and several carloads of stuff out of my house in the last two weeks. Most I gave to the Ellendale Lions club which is having a white elephant sale to donate proceeds to charity. Some I gave to immediate family members, and some I gave to shirt tail relatives for their kids.

The sad thing is I have so much more crap STILL in my house.

Sigh.

Indeed, where DOES it all come from????

What an amazing ammount of stuff!

You example will inspire me to dig deeper. :)
