Sounds

Things I can hear if I sit still and concentrate:

1. The continuing hum of the computer and its monitor.

2. The intermittent rat-a-tat-tat of the computer talking to itself.

3. Traffic noise- distant and erratic. It's been raining- so cars go by with a swish.

4. The pulsing of three electric clocks.

5. An occasional muffled thud from next door.

6. Once- the musical chime of next door's telephone.

7. Birds going squawk, squawk, squawk in the garden.

8.The creaking of my leather belt as I breathe in and out.

Interesting exercise! I just sat for a minute and tried to identify sounds. I realized there are some I'm not sure of.
*off to investigate*

I had to go check some of the sounds, count how many clocks there were....

This makes me aware that even silence is not...

I'm not one for having music playing. I'd rather listen to the sounds of silence. Right now the kids are back from school and there's more thumping from next door- plus voices.

I too enjoy the "silences". Many days and nights the TV never goes on, and the CD's sit neglected in their case.

The one time I have music playing in the background is when I'm in the kitchen.

9. Poetry happening on the page, which seems to be a regular occurrence around your computer.

(I've got the construction noises of the modular house being built at the end of the block. It's like SimCity, only in three dimensions.)

Thanks.

Building and demolition- two things I love.

Good experiment to try

1. Next doors vac very loud think she needs a new one.

2. Cat snoring loud, very annoying.

3. Car going very fast scary.

4. Birds tweeting on roof.

5. Children playing outside.

Ive decided to try another room more quiet.

1. Humming

2. Humming

3. More bloody humming !!!!!!!!!!!!

What the hell is that ???????????

Ive just been told thousands of people can hear this humming all over the world intriguing, Karen can also hear this. Time to investigate more of this on the net will let you know outcome.

Are you sure the humming isn't some electrical appliance? I can hear humming too, but it's quite clearly coming from the computer
