Granny Allen's Tiger
Dec. 11th, 2008 12:14 pmI've been meaning to post this for weeks.
My Granny Allen trained as a woodcarver- around 100 years ago- and this small plaque is an example of her work. I don't have a tape measure to hand but I'd say it was about 8"X8". The "royal tiger" is a badge of the Leicestershires- the regiment my grandfather served with during the First World War.
Of all the knick-knacks we've got lying around the house, this is the one I'd least want to lose.

I think it's a little older than your granny's tiger.
