There's something cute about it, perhaps because it's not a classically "pretty" picture; it seems so much more intimate, somehow.

Can I ask why you chose the name? In my case it's because I'm a Lewis Carroll fan.

Date: 2008-11-27 02:09 pm (UTC)There's a lovely poem by William Morris that begins
Lady Alice, Lady Louise,
Between the wash of the tumbling seas,
We are ready to sing, if so ye please;
So lay your long hands to the keys;
Sing, "Laudate pueri"....
It's called The Blue Closet

Date: 2008-11-28 07:46 am (UTC)That pic of me is pretty intense I clicked on it and brought up a bigger version, I scared myself with it. Not in a bad way, but I just look so knowing...like a semi-evil, semi -benevolent empress child!
The Shamen want to charge me £250 to keep their song lyrics in my book - no way man - I'm removing them. That will cost me ££££ too but only $1 a word . They only charge cos it's at design stage... why didn't i think of this before ... where was the all knowing Empress then eh!!!!!

Date: 2008-11-28 12:49 pm (UTC)"Semi-evil, semi-benevolent empress child". I like it! Maybe you should put this picture on your website.
The Shamen should be glad of the publicity. Doesn't that sort of quotation come under the definition of "fair-usage"- which means copyright doesn't apply?
