Update

Carl just knocked on the door and asked to be given a coffee. "She's doing her essay,"  I said,  through gritted teeth.  But then she sings out from upstairs, "I've finished."

In the event she resumed work on the essay at 3.00. and completed it an hour later. I needn't have worried.

I get very protective. Like a watchdog. Like a dragon.

Believe me im scared of no dragon, no not this dragon im just polite and placid. Anyway you should have told me to leave i wouldnt have been offended.

I wouldn't have turned you away, but if Ailz hadn't have finished that essay you would have had to make do with my company.

I'm so glad she has finished it. You've no idea how worried I was she'd not make the deadline.
