Writing Fiction
Jun. 27th, 2008 03:22 pm It looks like I might be writing fiction again. I'm not sure whether I like the feeling or not. I've set up a situation and written a couple of pages and now it's like the characters are hustling me to get on with it. I know what the story might be, but not what it will be, because these people are alive and will certainly do all sorts of things I can't anticipate. They might even walk out on me and leave me looking stupid.

Date: 2008-07-07 01:25 pm (UTC)(I thought about you yesterday, when Kate came by to pick me up to celebrate her finishing up her novel Stag in Velvet, last of a trilogy. She said she loves to write, loves the characters, and I told her about Purchas, which she may read, as the entire premise fascinated her.)
