Etchingham, Sussex

One of the many thousands of reasons why part of me will always be Anglican.

I feel the same way about Roman Catholic architecture...part of me will always be RC. I am so drawn to Romanesque and Gothic Cathedrals and smaller churches.

Lovely place!

Of course our English medieval churches and cathedrals were all built by catholics.

I believe- or would if I were still a Christian- that the Anglican church is the continuing (reformed) Catholic church in England.

I SO understand that statement! For me it's the music, of course: Gibbons, Purcell, Stanford, Howells, and the whole lot of 'em. The setting of the Burial Service by William Croft is the most Anglican sounding thing ever written.

Can one be an Anglican without being a Christian? I rather think one can.
