Bail Bonds

That was one of the grungiest nights of my life. Usually when I have a bad cold I can at least sleep, but last night the pain in my sinuses was just too bad. I'd been reading Ellmore Leonard before going to bed and my fever dreams or half dreams were all about setting bail bonds in Miami.

I went back to bed this morning and the fever boke, but I'm still frail.

Yeah, the Gregorian calendar's good enough for me. I'm pretty hazy about dates (when I was a clergyman I was never entirely sure whether Christmas day fell on the 24th or the 25th) and trying to keep up with an alternative one would tie me in knots.
