Someone On The Street Is Getting Married...

...and weddings mean-  Fireworks!

As does Guy Fawkes, Christmas, New Year's, Easter, your mother's bunion surgery .....

'S'right!

I've got so used to fireworks round the clock that I scarcely notice them any more.

Oh God, what a bummer. I'm glad I'm no longer living in a town.

I know what you mean- but this is a pretty good community and we didn't feel threatened by what was going on. In fact we were up at the window watching the guests assembling and the stretch limo driving off and waving to people we know. It brightened up our day no end.

I wasn't really thinking of it in terms of feeling threatened, just that the noise and smoke and stuff is not very nice all the time.

They do fireworks for weddings in your neighbourhood?

And I thought Spain was bad....

The Asians love them.

OhMiGawd!

Now I expect that will be the next must-have addition to our $20,000 weddings in the USA! Oh, boy! I do love fireworks, though! I just disapprove of couples spending so much of their resources on the ceremony. I guess I'm just getting old.

We went to my niece's wedding this summer. It cost a lot, but she can afford it and it's what she wanted, so- cool.

My own wedding was a very low key affair- we had the ceremony at the registry office and the party at home. It wasn't any less fun for not costing an arm and a leg.

That was my style, too!
