Heck, if I could afford to live near there and didn't need to be near a big city to make my living I'd be packing already.

You don't need to be rich to live near there, but you might need to be willing to pile on the woollies in winter.
(She said, putting on the first woolly of the year, and turning on the storage heaters.)

I remember from my years in London. But as I now live on an island in the North Baltic, I am somewhat acquainted with the concept of cold winters.
where in Wales do you live

When I'm on Anglesey, near Brynciensin - but I have a cottage on the Great Orme (Llandudno).

I've been in Cardiff, Swansea and the Gower but I left the UK for the frozen north in 1993. Wales has always fascinated me both culturally today and historically. My passion is the Middle Ages and the Northern Crusades and I am a tourism guide in the summers, so Poliphilio's posts of his travels are like manna from .... somewhere to me.

I like to visit these places, but I'm a city boy at heart.
