October Already

I turned the calendars. There's a Scottish castle in the kitchen and a Picasso still-life in the hall.

It's been cold for a couple of weeks now. I've continued hanging clothes in the yard but it's not working any more.  I have to take them down at the end of the day and rehang them on the maiden in the back room. I guess I just don't want to let this summer go.

I caught my first glimpse of  Orion last night. Exactly the same scenario as last year. I looked out the bathroom window sometime after midnight and there he was hovering alongside next door's chimney stack.

I've just finished A Tale of Two Cities. The last 100 pages are really exciting.

Time really DOES fly by. I do love October though. My daughter was born on Halloween.

"My daughter was born on Halloween"

What brilliant timing!

Yes sir! We planned it that way. (not)
My daughter has always loved her birthday.
