Both Ailz and the cake are gorgeous--I think the Gerber daisies are a much better choice than roses, more dramatic, and more stable (less likely to wilt). Very nicely done, and I like the greenery as well.
I think the florist was given a free hand- and, yes, I think roses would have been too much.
It's a pity you can't really see the hat in this photo (she's holding it in her hand but it doesn't show up.) We bought it in Paris and it complemented the dress wonderfully.
What perfect flowers for the cake and very artistically draped, too. From that angle you can't see the lean at all. I like it much better than the bakery shop kind! Well done!

I, too, am glad the florist chose the deep orange-y red Gerber daisies. They're lovely, and really make a statement against the ivory cake.

Yes, the daisies were a good choice. Roses would have been over the top I think.

It came out beautifully. But I think it is outclassed by Ailz.

Ailz looks stunning. I wish you had a picture of her with the hat on.

I need to take a picture of Ailz in the hat. I've got one or two but they don't do her justice.

And Ailz and Ruth had a lot of fun making it.

Oh, and I see there is a cake in the picture as well. A gorgeous cake! Made by two cake experts!
Lovely, thanks for posting.
