That was sad. We took Little Alex for his health check and the nice, young vet talked us into returning him to the store. It was the right outcome. It's been an orgy of sex and violence ever since we introduced him to the other two and it was only a matter of time before someone lost an eye. For cute, little, fluffy things rabbits aren't half vicious.

So we're back to being a two rabbit family and torpor resumes its reign.

Aww, I'm sorry. He was a cutie.

They are suprisingly violent creatures. We didn't have our rabbit for very long when I was a kid because it used to attack my baby brother. He became too scared to go out into the back yard. He must have been about 7 or 8 at the time, so it wasn't that he was a toddler.

Have you read "Watership Down" since you've become a rabbit caretaker?

Aw, sorry to hear that, but it's probably for the best. I remember from when I used to keep them how violent rabbits can be towards each other. It's a striking contrast to the image you get of them especially at this time of year!

Rabbits are so territorial they make my dogs look like well......cute little bunnies.

Rabbits are incredibly aggressive creatures. How do the two you have get along? Are they the same sex or one of each or neutered?

He was. But he was also a little terror...

Little Tosh- who is about a foot from nose to tail- attacks Joe-who is around six foot- whenever Joe presumes to set foot on "his" rug.

Kinda like the killer rabbit in "Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail"!

I saw the film once. And retain a troubling image of one-eyed General Woundwort foaming at the mouth as he charges into battle.

Exactly. Fluffy bunnies are violent, sex-mad little beasts.

We have a neutered male and a neutered female. Until we inserted a tertium quid they were leading a placid, friendly existence.

Ugh. I didn't even know there was a movie.

I've been slightly afraid of rabbits since I read the book--and since I saw them at a state fair, the huuuuuuge rabbits. (I'd never have one for a pet.)

Monty Python told the truth about rabbits. If they were the size of tigers they'd be among the most fearsome creatures on the planet.

It's an animated movie- not very good- best remembered for the Art Garfunkel hit "Bright Eyes".

I've been around those giant rabbits. They're sluggish creatures.

Aww, I'm sorry to hear it didn't work out. He was such a cutie.

I never realized how violent rabbits could be until I saw one attacking a ground squirrel at the zoo (they weren't part of the zoo exhibit, just random wildlife living there). I was completely flabbergasted.

It's a shame.

But I think Tosh and Rachel are happier for not having him around.

And in a way, he can rest easy now.
Best wishes to you, yours and the bunnies!

Oh.

I've been away too long...

I suppose the Original Rabbits are touching noses and being happy.

They seem to be more or less back to normal.

Thank goodness!
