Going Through The Motions

Snuffle, snuffle, snuffle: I have a bit of a cold- but not bad enough to impair the jollity. We took presents to the Muslim kids next door. My kids rang- that's Alice and Mike; they're with their mum in London. Mike said he went to church this morning. When did I last go to church for anything other than a funeral?  Eighteen years ago I guess. Ailz is with her parents- eating lunch and  I'm here on my tod . Joe will be back this afternoon and he and Ailz and I will eat something we'll call Christmas dinner together.

And now I've just poured myself a glass of an inky Spanish red and I'm nibbling on a wedge of Blacksticks Blue.

No hangover here--been a year now since I quit drink! Best decision I've made. However, I woke up with sneezes and sniffles today! What luck! May it be cleared by the New Year!
