Bexhill Lets Itself Down
Eastbourne went Lib Dem but Bexhill, next door, went Reform. I don't know why; I'd have thought the two towns had a similar demographic. The common theme is rejection of Labour and the Conservatives.....
We were in Bexhill yesterday for the "Spring Fair" at the Quaker Meeting House, and making uneasy jokes about stiff armed salutes and the like. Farage is a dodgy dealer with a history of having cosied up to Oswald Mosely and the current US President- and the top dogs in his party- who would sit on his front bench if he won a General Election- are people who quit the Conservative party under a cloud. I want to kick his supporters in the shins and say, "Can't you see what a cad he is and how bloody useless any government he headed would be. Has it not occured to you to do some research?"
The Spring Fair was an opportunity to say "Hi" to Quaker Friends- and in particular one who doesn't seen to want to be close to us anymore though I can't think why. Bexhill Quaker Meeting is on life support and our gal Dawn, who manages hirings for both us and them, is doing all she can to keep it going. They have a very adequate town centre premises and ought to be viable. I reckoned I needed to buy something so I bought this for 45p.

I call it Rabbit. It was on a bric-a-brac stall and advertised as "vintage". Some child who is now getting on in years or may even be deceased has loved it almost to destruction.....

They'd undo my marriage and have me in a camp given their way.
