Names

 He has met everyone who was anyone in the Arts in the late 20th century but can tell you nothing of interest about them.

He drops names but they are only names. 

"I met Derek Jarman..."

"And?"

"I lived in Dean Street and he was always around in Soho...."

LOL I have a friend like that, collected celebrity encounters like baseball cards. I haven't met many but they were definitely memorable. The stand-out was the playwright who asked if my dad and I were lovers! 8-o. My dad still laughs about that.

and now is on FB
does sightings for leather hat guy
not some one famous
just active and around time
biking or shoveling..

once in a while its I haven't see LHG
for a while ... with a relieved sighting
a few days later .

I knew one famous artist back in the day- and that's about it. If I run into an off-duty celeb I do my best to pretend I haven't recognised them.....

When we first met the guy who knew everybody we thought he was bullshitting, then we found he wasn't. For a while we we impressed but now we groan inwardly when he drops a name.
