Out Of Character

 I'm not a dog lover, so how come I was throwing a dog toy for the little Shitzu to fetch and thoroughly enjoying myself- even at one point losing my balance, falling over backwards and waving my legs in the air?

It just goes to show that we say things about ourselves and even believe them- that aren't essentially true.

We adopt a role, we act it out, but every so often, for whatever reason, we break character....

We actually have one: L.'s a sweet little guy though larger than typical for the breed. R. wanted one, I've never been around dogs so it's been interesting to get used to interacting with him. Living in E TN I had no pets: the dogs and cats that come with R. are all part of adapting to one's spouse's ways. Of course, with breaking character there's a balance to be struck, so you get joyful discovery rather than ongoing misery!
