Election Results

This has been the For-God's-Sake-Lets-Get-Rid-Of-The-Tories election.  They now have fewer seats than at any time in modern history.  Starmer's majority is going to be less than Blair won in 1997 but still huge. Is there public rejoicing? Only among the party faithful. This isn't like the Blair revolution when we still expected great things from our politicians. The Lib Dems have won more seats than at any time since the beginning of the 20th century- when they were simply Liberals and capable of forming governments.

George Galloway lost the seat he won in a by-election, Nigel Farage took Clacton and his party has four seats in total.

Here In Eastbourne the Lib Dem took the seat from the Tory. He got 20 thousand votes and she got 11 thousand. A huge swing.

The Tories kept ours which is disappointing to say the least.
