poliphilo This morning when I looked out the window there were four pigeons on the neighbour's flat roof beside ithe owl statue that was put there to scare them.
Most of the pigeons were on our roof, of course, because we're the poor saps who put out bird seed twice a day.
I was sitting out on the patio yesterday and my eye was caught by a tiny white object sauntering about in the air above me. It went this way and that way, always descending, and finally landed right at my feet. I picked it up. It was a downy feather from off a pigeon's chest or under-wing area.....
