Oh, Come on...
Feb. 25th, 2024 03:07 pm I was at the Meeting for Worship and the inner voice said, "Here's a poem, write it"
And I said, "Can't you see where I am..."
And the inner voice said, "Do as you're told."
And when I'd finished, the inner voice said, "Well done. Here's another."
And I said, "Oh come on, get real..."
And when I'd finished, it said, "And here's the third..."
I'll post'em later, after I've gone over them a few times. They're not very Quaker which was a reason for demurring, though the third and shortest is more than a wee bit Zen. The first two were suggested by a couple of poems by Heinrich Heine that fell in my path earlier this morning while the third was prompted by the experience of writing the other two...
