The Various Possibilities

 When you don't get a Christmas card from an old person who has always sent you one before does it mean

A) That they've just stopped sending them?

B) That they've crossed you off their list?

C) That they're no longer compus mentis?

D) That they've toddled off down Cemetery Rd?

 I'm asking this of a couple of people with whom I have what is now a distant relationship and I suppose people may be asking it of us as well.  In our case the answer is (A)

We have some missing cards this year but I think Royal Mail is to blame as we have missing cards most years.

Could be. I'm getting the impression that the Royal Mail is getting to be less and less trustworthy
