There's a letter to be answered from our solicitor.

The solicitor is a man of power. He wears a suit. He wears a tie.

He scares me. Even though he's working for us.

He's the guy who knows how the game is played.

I'm afraid I'll say something silly and he'll despise me even more than he already does.

(And charge me for it)

"You answer him," I say to Ailz.

"No," she replies. "It's too hot. You answer him!"

Hey, Tony. Your solicitor is just a man who puts his trousers on the same way you do. (Unless you hang them somewhere by your suspenders and take a running jump into them...) He's educated in different areas than you but I'd wager that you have 'better' knowledge than he does. (I find people in the law to have tunnel vision...)

He may have a general idea of how the game is played, but if he's really on your side, he'll listen to what you have to say and make suggestions rather than telling you that things *must* be done this way.

Don't let him scare you. Or, don't let him know he scares you.

And good luck.

Like Wallace of Wallace and Gromit- yup, that's me!

This guy used to work for my dad. I think that's probably the problem. I'm assuming he'llhave the same opinion of me that my dad had.

Allowing for a little creative re-shaping (for the sake of elegance) that's pretty much what she said

My father did (or at least I think he did) and this guy used to work for him. I've only just made the connection.

That's really sad that you think that...Do you, truly? I wouldn't have said so.

He and I had as little to do one another as we possibly could. I believe we made our peace before he died and we never stopped loving one another, but there was powerful disappointment on both sides.
