Very December
Dec. 4th, 2023 10:05 am It's very December this morning. Grey skies, cold rain. Had I worn my boots to go to the shops I could have sploshed through some very big puddles.
I bought hot cross buns and mince pies (Easter and Christmas hand in hand) also a loaf of bread.
I sang "The rain in Spain" to myself on the way there and back. It was invigorating.
I needed the loaf for my second breakfast because I was craving a slice of toast with marmite and peanut butter. Ian and Jenny put us onto that combo. I wasn't sure at first but the marmite cuts through the clagginess of the peanut butter and it's a winner.
