 I sing to Sej. He shows a passing interest in the Ballad of William Kidd (wish I could hit the high notes!) but drops everything and looks at me with fixed attention when I sing What Shall We Do With the Drunken Sailor. It's as if he's heard it before...

Every child should have shanteys and sailor songs in their repertoire.
