Shifting Furniture
Aug. 2nd, 2023 09:43 am Our granddaughter and daughter in law are visiting for a couple of days. The forecast is for buckets of rain and 40 mph winds. But they live in Lancashire and have come equipped for the kind of weather they're used to. "If we were afraid of getting wet", says Victoria,"We'd never leave the house."
Accomodating them involved shifting furniture about- and my computer is now in our bedroom on a table canted slantwise across a corner by the window. If I look up I can see my little 18th century print of a Roman landscape ny Gaspard Dughet (Poussin's brother-in-law) and if I look to the side I have a view out the window across town to Beachy Head.
Aria has given up gymnastics and is now studying acrobatic gymnastics.
"Does that mean you could work in a circus?" I ask.
"Yes"
"Would you like to work in a circus?"
"Yes."
"Brilliant!"
