People use bank holiday weekends to clear out their houses and gardens- as was evident this morning from the very long line of cars queuing to access the recycling centre. I was on foot with my bag of gardening waste and so got in- without let or hindrance- through the pedestrian entrance. However, our centre started a booking system during covid and they've continued with it. It's now nothing to do with social distancing, but I suspect they've found that making people book a slot means they can spread people out so as to avoid a queue of cars and congestion around the various bins and skips.
