The paintwork is perfect, the scaffolding is down- and we have a blue house.
Well, partly blue; at the front it's still naked brick. I think the front can stay that way. It doesn't get battered by weather the way the back does.
Next time I go up into the hills with my binoculars and look back down at the town our house should be easier to spot on account of the blueness.
Yesterday the blue wall was paler than the blue sky. It suggests coolness. As I said in an earlier post I can't look at it and not think of ice cream.
We could have gone with white or yellow but they would have dazzled in bright sunlight. Pink was an option. Blue is just right.
