Abu Ghraib

Abu Ghraib reminds me of school. School bullies grin like that. Those sexual tortures and humiliations are just the sort of thing that small boys use to enforce hierarchy and kill the boredom.

Small girls too, I should think. Though from what I hear, women are better at the psychological stuff.

I've been there. I've even grinned that grin once or twice. Abu Ghraib reminds me of things about myself I'd rather not remember.

Lock 'em up. I'm a decent person. Get 'em outta my face.

Abu Ghraid reminds me of school as well, mostly because my high school looked like a prison:

My school was Victorian gothic (sorry no pix available) so also fairly prison-like.
